more sample photos of the canon powershot 1000is review

since i'm getting a bit of traffic from people interested in the canon powershot 1000is, here are a few more shots.

overall, I am happy with the camera. i dropped it on the great wall of china and it is still going strong despite the new scratches on the body. another camera may not have survived such impact.

The short version of my review goes like this. I used to have an Canon PowerShot A510. I loved that Camera. I used it primarily for videos. It was awsome! Then one day I was stupid and I pushed the lens in a little bit while cleaning it off, and it burned something out. So my loving girlfriend bought me a new A1000is and I was so happy!

So how do I like it? It takes excelent pictures and has everything you could ever want with regard to features, especially for $139! Photos from the A1000is Rock! Videos from the A1000is look like shit! They also take up serious disk space! Like mad disk space. Compared to my A510 3.2 MP, the video quality from the A1000is is totally unacceptable. But I'm stuck with it. What I've found though, is that when I played with the light settings indoor, using the indoor lighting and the flurescent lighting settings, the quality improved a bit (especially black).
Bottom Line: Awesome photos! Shitty videos!

Thanks for your review! I'll share some of my pictures from both the new and the old so you can see the difference.

Why is it that with such higher specs in every category, the videos from the A1000is suck so baddly?
